Prehistoric Burials – January 2015

In January we visited Charnwood Museum in Loughborough to think about prehistoric burial practices, offerings and monuments.

Wendy Scott talked us through the Cossington Boy burial and we looked at the different types if artefacts found in similar burials.  We though about how the objects were made or obtained added value to the finds and reflected upon what objects we value today.

We then thought about what things are burial, how and where they were buried along with the types of monuments associated with them.  Debbie Frearson led the group to look at
